With the Sign & Digital UK show just around the corner, The Gill caught up with Roland DG UK’s head of sales Rob Goleniowski for a coffee and a chat about the company’s strategy and its plans for the forthcoming show. 


In his role as head of Sales for Roland DG UK Goleniowski is responsible the sales of Roland machines and consumables through the company’s authorised dealer channel. He is also responsible for the management, support and mentoring of the Sales Team to help provide the best possible service to customers interested in purchasing one of its wide format printers, vinyl cutters, engravers, 3D milling machines or 3D printers. 


Goleniowski talks with enthusiasm about the company’s ethos and how, when you buy a Roland printer, you become part of the Roland family: “We look after the customers from the moment they inquire about a machine. We put a lot of energy into understanding their needs and challenges to ensure they are considering the right product to meet their requirements,” he says. “We will then work with them to test and prove the suitability of the product for their particular application, and we’ll be on hand to make sure the purchase goes through smoothly.


“Be we don't stop there, as we are then on hand to help train the customers on how to get the best out of their purchase and ensure the highest possible return on investment in the quickest possible time. How do we do this? By not only showing both new and existing customers how to operate their printers, but also all the different applications their printer can be used to produce.”


Goleniowski also states that Roland DG UK sees itself as not just a supplier of a product, but as a partner and a consultant to the customers business. “We believe that your success is our success,” he says. “We want to make you so successful with your investment that it is inevitable that you will be coming back to talk with my team about buying another Roland machine.”
