From letters and direct mail to combined paper and digital communications, communications solutions company Imprimus works alongside its customers to help them make informed communications decisions that reduce mailing costs, eliminate risks and increase engagement.

Digital production printing is handled by a fleet of three Ricoh Pro C9100 printers following a competitive printing tender last year to replace the company’s Xerox iGen models with the Pro C9110s.

According to managing director Tony Plummer, what made Ricoh stand apart from the competition was the ease of use of the technology. “Following the install, it enabled us to have several operators trained in a couple of days, and live work produced on day two of the installation,” he says.

From a business perspective, Plummer reports that the move to Ricoh has generated a ‘healthy return on investment on our substantial six-figure investment on these machines’ and has already experienced many benefits such as quick turnaround times and cost-effectiveness, since installation.

“We process a wide range of highly complex, secure business critical applications for a number of FTSE 100 organisations and local authorities incorporating stringent processes and procedures, which are applied to ensure regulatory compliance and 100% accuracy of output,” says Plummer.

“Aside from the impressive colour quality and the improved machine throughput of up to 50% that the Ricoh C9110s offer our business, the commercial benefits of this partnership means we can confidently meet our customers expectations while exploring other opportunities and markets that were previously unaccessible, and as such we are looking forward to seeing how we can further partner with Ricoh in the future.”
