The Bigger Printing Company has upgraded the proofing system within its production department with a Canon iPF6400S, an 8-colour large format printer designed for the Graphic Arts sector.
The iPF6400S produces high-quality, high-speed A1 prints, and the addition of the new printer means the company now has an end-to-end Canon workflow, as both proofs and actual jobs are produced on Canon printers to produce direct-to-board and roll-to-roll media projects.
According to Dan Watson, production manager at Bigger Printing, shifting the proofing workflow over to embrace a Canon proofing printer makes good sense. “It’s a fast machine which provides very accurate proofs,” he says.
Watson says his production team will also be able to enjoy a host of additional benefits which the iPF6400S brings, including high-speed and low running costs, as well as the high-capacity ‘hot swap’ ink tanks which provide greater productivity and reduced downtime.
“The new printer will also be run through the same Onyx RIP as our Canon Arizona printers, ensuring the production team have everything they need to ensure colour and print accuracy. This will speed our processes up, all while maintaining high quality standards,” concluded Watson.
