Colourfast Financial Limited is the first UK customer to invest in Keyline MIS - the new cloud based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) print automation and MIS solution. The deal was signed on day two of the recent Print Show held at the NEC in Birmingham.

Colourfast, a 24/7 production operation, specialises in all aspects of financial printing from complex Initial Public offerings to fast turnaround business compliance documents and is located 30 minutes from London´s financial districts in Brentwood, Essex.

According to Colourfast’s managing director Darren Bacon, some 80% of work comes from the financial sector which requires very fast turnaround. “We have chosen Keyline to fully automate our production process from online order receipt right through to despatch,” he says. “We currently run 8 Konica Minolta machines and by reducing our touch points, we think we can be more efficient and in turn more profitable.”

Keyline was developed in close collaboration with several major German printing companies. Unlike other solutions, Keyline is a true SaaS-based system, enabling printing houses of any size to cover the entire process from order taking and calculation via print production and finishing to stock keeping, logistics and accounting.

Via open interfaces, Keyline is able to communicate with other software solutions of any kind, as well as with machinery for printing, finishing and logistics. It creates a holistic data stream, enabling full control anytime anywhere, and building the basis for far-reaching automation.

Wayne Beckett of Cloud to Print, Keyline’s UK and Ireland reseller, says: “Software within the printing industry is seeing a massive change and Keyline’s philosophy mirrors where MIS needs to be. Colourfast’s vision of future proofing its business makes Keyline the perfect solution, and our installation team will be working with other suppliers to integrate the company’s software and hardware with Keyline to provide a system that will fully automate their workflow.”
