Point of purchase materials specialist manufacturer PBB Ltd has acquired NE Plastics. Both companies have expertise in fabrication, cutting and various other finishing processes of plastics and boards for the screen print, digital, large format and industrial plastics markets and will be offering these extended services to both new and existing customers.

NE Plastics is a well-known and respected flat sheet plastic supplier and bespoke fabrication specialist in the South of England and it shares many of the same founding principles as PPB.

The South of England is an important growth region for PPB, and it has been looking for an opportunity to build upon the success of its existing Thurrock operation. The purchase of NE Plastics will provide PPB with the opportunity to expand plastic sales in the London area, especially south of the river.

Richard Proctor, director of PPB Ltd, says: “NE Plastics is a great business with a reputation for good service and honest dealings. This acquisition will allow customers to benefit from a wider choice of products and services, including state of the art conversion facilities. Stock levels and servicing will be enhanced by our national distribution network serviced by a new fleet of vehicles. Customers can be assured that it is business as usual, but with the ongoing security of dealing with a larger scale business that is investing in this growing sector.”

The combining of these two companies will take the group turnover to over £30 million.
