Konica Minolta has launched its ‘simply efficient’ AccurioPress C6100 Series of colour production printers, which are designed with maximum uptime and production efficiency in mind. The company says its C6100 series assures uptime via an array of highly automated features such as constant control of gradation, front-to-back registration and stabilised paper feeding.

The fast and flexible series has been created for operations who recently started digital printing and are now expanding their service as well as those who need to handle large, repeat, print volumes. This makes the series ideal for anyone looking for the professional image quality and non-stop productivity expected of a full-colour production printing system - without the need for special operating skills.

Cool features include the automation of density adjustment, colour management, gradation and front-to-back registration are continuously monitored and corrected in real time with no loss in productivity, while colour profiles can be created automatically to quickly achieve highly accurate colour matching.

Karl-Friedrich Edenhuizen, product manager, Production Printing Group says: “This new generation of true production systems has been designed to ensure improved uptime and deliver even higher quality printed materials with greater reliability and stability. These presses will meet and exceed the advanced requirements of print production at the highest levels, as well as offering digital image quality on par with offset printing.”

Enhanced functions, including stabilised paper feeding, support a wide range of paper weights from 52 gsm to 400 gsm, plus embossed paper, encouraging broader production possibilities. Other enhancements include low-cost envelope printing, via a dedicated fusing unit – all of which, says Konica Minolta, are targeted toward helping printers’ to grow their business.

The company says reliability and stability is further enabled by Simitri HD E toner for higher offset-like natural textures while lower temperature fusing reduces damage to paper resulting in higher quality finishes and improved environmental performance.

“Collectively all these innovations have been combined into our fastest and most efficient and automated press yet,” says Edenhuizen. "It has been launched to help operations enhance their bottom-line with a production press that offers maximum uptime and job flexibility for more profit in the print room.”

The AccurioPress C6100 Series is available in the 85 ppm C6085 and the 100 ppm C6100 and are a direct replacement for the company’s C1085 and C1100 machines.
